As of 2026, Chef Bastian Schenk serves as Executive Chef of Le Jardinier New York, bringing over two decades of experience shaped by both classical French training and a self-taught, creative approach. Originally from Brussels, his cuisine reflects a balance of precision, seasonality, and global influence.
Prior to Le Jardinier, Chef Bastian trained within the Joël Robuchon family at La Grande Maison in Bordeaux and Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo in Monaco. He also worked at three-Michelin-starred restaurant of Chef Anne-Sophie Pic in Valence, where he contributed to both kitchen leadership and menu development.
Following, Chef Bastian founded and led La Villa Hibiscus in Saint Martin, establishing it as a celebrated culinary destination recognized multiple times as ‘Best Restaurant on the Island’ at the Saint Martin Gastronomy Festival.
